Our Response to COVID-19
Telecom operators and the services they provide have always been critical to the well-being of societies and the global economy, but never more so than they are today during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. From banks to manufacturing operations, enterprises are being challenged to maintain business continuity, even as many critical processes and transactions have become decentralized, almost overnight.
Although not comparable to the inspiring sacrifices of the healthcare community, the telecommunications industry is stepping up to ensure the resilience and reliability of fundamental services in order to support economic activity, business continuity, and social cohesion.
At Transtelco, the health and safety of our employees, customers and business partners is paramount, as is the business continuity of our customers. For the safety of our own workforce, we have instituted the guidelines provided by the World Health Organization as well as a best practices approach with regard to COVID-19, including suspending all non-essential work travel and office presences and implementing remote working practices. And, as a mission-critical telecommunications provider, we have contingency plans in place to ensure the network availability and continuity of the services we provide.
